This is one of the few crown jewels of France to survive being unaltered. Most of the French crown jewels were stolen, sold, or altered. Many of the jewels in the Louvre are missing parts of the valuable jewels, this tiara is not.
(Also one of my favorite crown jewels because of the emeralds)
